Your tour begins with the best coffee in Italy at the world famous San Eustachio Café where your pallet will be teased by the mildly bitter Arab bean brought to Italy in the 17th century and has been ever after an Italian obsession.
We then make are way to the Della Palma gelateria sporting more than 150 flavors of gelato. A frozen Italian delight which dates back to the time of Ancient Romans ascending the mountains of Sicily just to obtain gelatus (frozen) snow needed to create the rich and creamy treat used to satisfy emperors.
A short walk past the beautiful Pantheon and through Piazza Navona with gelato in hand we come to one of Rome's most famous delhis to taste some of the finest cured meats in Italy. Prosciutto, Salami, Pancetta , and Porchetta in the words of Homer Simpson all the product of this “wonderful magical animal” used not only in Roman kitchen but also as one of the most bizarre weapons in history.
Next we descend down to ancient roman ruins in lower level of our specially chosen restaurant - the closest one can get to the assassination sight of Julius Caesar and there we will sample an array of Antipasti (appetizers) while learning about the food and one of the most transformational events of history.
Next stop the Rome’s award winning Antico Forno Roscioli (Bakery) where you will learn about bread making and naming whilst tasting some of the best Pizza Taglio of the city.
Make sure you have room for the last stop where you will have 3 different pasta dishes at the Chef owned award winning restaurant. Each fresh pasta dish is accompanied by a glass of house wine and created in the themes of Past, Present, and Future to ensure your food journey will leave you with not only the history and tradition of Italian food but also gives u a glimpse at the future of Italian Cuisine.
